چکیده
To study the movement characteristics and separation mechanism of safflower petals their impurities under action airflow lower impurity rate in cleaning operation process, integration computational fluid dynamics (CFD) discrete element method (DEM) codes was performed to motion sorting behavior particles different inclination angles, dust removal angles inlet velocities by establishing a true particle model. In this model, phase applied DEM software, continuum gas described ANSYS Fluent software. The Box-Behnken experimental design with three factors levels performed, parameters such as velocity, inclined angle, remover angle were selected independent variables that would influence loss rate. A mathematical model established, then effects various interactions analyzed. test results show effect is best when velocity 7 m/s, 0°, 25°. Confirmatory tests showed average 0.69% 2.75%, respectively, which dropped significantly compared those from previous optimization. An device designed set up; consistent simulation results, indicating studying physical petals-impurity field using DEM-CFD coupling reliable. This result provides basis for follow-up studies devices lightweight materials petals.

Effect of interparticle force on the hydrodynamics of gas-solid fluidized beds was investigated using the combined method of computational fluid dynamics and discrete element method (CFD-DEM). The cohesive force between particles was considered to follow the van der Waals equation form. The model was validated by experimental results from literature in terms of bed voidage distribution and Eule...
